I used Veteran Floors to install red oak hardwood flooring throughout my entire home, and they did a fantastic job! In 2012, after we completed our new home addition, I hired Veteran Floors to install hardwood floors in our bedrooms, living room and kitchen - and they turned out beautiful! To this day, my wife still says, of all the home renovations we’ve completed over the past 20 years our hardwood floors are still her favorite - and they still look beautiful 14 years later! In 2025, we hired Veteran Floors again to install red oak hardwood floors in our family room to match the rest of the house, and we couldn’t be happier! If you’re looking for beautiful hardwood flooring, professional service, at a fair price, I would highly recommend Veteran Floors. You won’t be disappointed. These guys are the best! They also communicate well, work quickly, and do a great job of cleaning up afterwards.

I purchased a condo in Flint & moved in May 2025. The entire Condo had the original 1948 Parque floor, which was in desperate need of refurbishing. Lucky for me, John & Matt from Veteran Floors Inc. were recommended. It was the best thing that could have happened to my floor. Veteran Floors Inc. is a family owned business of almost 30 years. John & Matt are perfectionists when it comes to their workmanship. When my friends came over and saw the finished floor, they all thought that I had purchased new parquet floors. My floor is absolutely beautiful. I love it!

Veteran Floors is hands down the best!!! These guys show up on time and work hard. When they are finished, your floor will be of furniture quality. There are some companies who brag about being able to refinish your floor in ONE day. Don’t do it. I have seen many of those floors over the years and noticed that their finish is so rough, that they will shred your socks as you walk across them. Their finish does not compare to the quality of Veteran Floors. This is a kitchen remodel that I recently completed in Fenton, MI. The ceramic was removed and replace with new wood flooring. The flooring was contracted out to Veteran Floors. The new wood floor was seamlessly tied in to an old Bruce pre-finished wood floor. After sanding, the ugly bevel on the pre-finished floor disappeared. The finish on this floor is flawless. Do yourself a favor and call Veteran Floors. I have dealt with John Small for decades now. They are the only wood flooring installers/refinishers that I ever use or refer

It is nice to be able to celebrate top notch craftsmen, John Small and his partner Matt at Veteran Floors are in this class - top notch. In 2003 Veteran Floors installed beautiful wood flooring throughout the first floor of our then 35 year old home. The floors have stood the test of time and raising 4 children. To keep them looking beautiful we have hired Veteran floors to recoat and as needed refinish rooms over the course of the last 20+ years. In addition to quality work, they are honest, responsive and competitive. We are fortunate to have them in the community.

A+++. Veteran Floors has done a few jobs for me over the last several years in my Byron, Michigan home. Each time I need something done they are my first and only call cause I know I'm going to get terrific work done. The owner, John is very personable and is a straight shooter and is always helpful. We had these guys lay white oak flooring for us in our new build in 2020-2021. We went with a natural finish and couldn't be happier with the results. They took the time to put down probably 5-6 swatch options on the floor for me and had me see it in different types of lighting before making my final decision. I was annoying myself with how undecided I was, but they walked me through every option with care & consideration over the decision. Five years later, our floors are holding up phenomenally. We have 3 kiddos that we have been raising here since babies and kids being kids have made marks and scratches, but nothing that John & the crew couldn't fix. We needed one spot patched up recently because of "kiddo error" and they came out and fixed it FOR FREE. Who does that in today's economy? These guys do. The spot looks good as new and is honestly hard to point out where it even was. They are personable, professional and we would use them time and time again. As long as their business keeps running, they will forever be our flooring guys!
